Enlisted Blue Dress A (medals)
The only difference between Blue Dress A and Blue Dress B is medals or badges.
MEDALS are worn centered above the left breast pocket with the upper edge of the holding bar on a line midway between the first and second button.
COLLAR EGA
Dress collar insignia will be worn on the blue and white dress coats and evening dress jackets placed in the eyelets provided, with eagles facing inboard. The MCO states that the Eagle's wings shall be parallel the bottom of the coat (or the deck), however, MARADMIN 598/18 adjusted this to parallel the collar.
"2.g.1. Change paragraph 4001.3.a(1) to read: Insignia will be aligned vertically in the center of each side of the collar on the mens blue dress coats and the new female blue dress coat and the male officer evening dress jacket. On the staff non-commissioned officer and female evening dress jackets, the insignia will be worn on the lapel, on each side with the bottom edge horizontally parallel to the deck."
BREAST INSIGNIA (Wings) are centered ⅛ inch above the top row of medals.
RIBBONS: only ribbons that do not have a corresponding medal are worn on Blue Dress A above the right pocket. These ribbons are worn centered above the right pocket ⅛ inch above the top of the pocket.
GRADE INSIGNIA is 4 inches below the shoulder seam, centered on each sleeve. (3 inches for E8 and above)
SERVICE STRIPES: the lower point of the bottom stripe meets the point of the "piping" at a 30 degree angle on each sleeve.
